"Piezo" is a technical term meaning
"piezoelectric element." As an
easy-to-understand example, think of an
electronic lighter, instantaneous gas
water heater, or cooking range. When you
light one up, you hear a click and see a
spark. This is the principle in which an
element momentarily struck by a force
generates electricity and becomes a
spark.
Piezo is that effect in reverse. If an
electric current is applied to an element,
metal generates a distortion and moves.
When continued, the element moves
continuously or, in other words, vibrates,
which is the piezo method.
